Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church have commiserated with the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Movement worldwide on the death of their General Overseer and spiritual leader Baba Aladura Dr. Samuel Adefila Abidoye.

Gov AbdulRazaq, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye on Monday in Ilorin, also commiserated with the family and people of Omu Aran on the death of the spiritual father. 

“On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, the Governor sends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the spiritual leader, the people of Omu Aran, and the C&S Movement family worldwide on the sad event.                  



The Governor said the late Baba Aladura made tremendous impacts as a religious leader with tentacles across the world and significant contributions to the wellbeing of his people.

“He prays God to grant comfort to everyone who mourns the late spiritual leader,” the statement said.

The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church also known as Winner's Chapel, Bishop Oyedepo paid a condolence visit to the residence of the Spiritual father in Omu Aran on Monday.

He described the death of Prophet Abidoye as a glorious departure and urged the family and members of the Church to be strong during this period.

Oyedepo, while consoling the immediate family and members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide on the death of their Spiritual Father, thanked God for the life of Prophet Abidoye, describing it as a life well spent in the vineyard.

Bishop Oyedepo noted that the Spiritual Father would be greatly missed given his fatherly advice and commitment to the propagation of the gospel.

Prophet Abidoye died on Sunday, Nov 10 in Ilorin at the age of 103 years.
