From Biodun Esan, Ilorin
Anglican Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Rt Rev Sunday Timothy Adewole mhas called on Nigerians to have hope in God for a better country.
The Bishop made the call in his sermon at the Easter service at the Cathedral of Saint Barnabas, Anglican Church Sabo-Oke Ilorin, Kwara State.
"We should be hopeful in an hopeless situation because the Lord is there He has the ability to turn things around for good," he said.
On the aftermath of the 2023 general elections, Adewole said; "nobody can come to power except the Lord put him there.
"If we want to seek redress, we should go the legal way, we should not incite people.
"We should follow the law of the land and then hope on the Lord,' he said.
On the essence of Easter festivities, Bishop Adewole said; "Easter celebration is the resurrection of the lord Jesus Christ.
"Today Jesus rose to defeat Satan and to open the gate of eternity for believers, today is so important because if there is no resurrection there will be no Christianity.
"Jesus rose, and that is why we have confidence to know that even after living this world, there will be place in His Kingdom," he said.
Some of the worshipers, after the service also expressed delight on the celebration of Easter and hope for better days ahead.
