Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, Spiritual Father and Chairman Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide has called on newly elected leaders in the Country to justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate.
The Cleric also called on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to improve on its performance in subsequent polls.
Abidoye made the call in his message released at the Church International headquarters Galilee Land, Orile Igbon, Oyo State on Tuesday.
He congratulated all Nigerians on the just concluded elections, which he noted had been adjudged free and fair.
Abidoye stated that the Electoral Umpire should however try to improve on it, adding; "our next election should be better than that of this year".
"We are not yet there, we shall reach where we are going; before the next election, we would have improved beyond what we did this year".
The Spiritual Father congratulated the President- elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Assembly Members-elect, State Governors-elect and the State Houses of Assembly Members-elect on their successes at the polls.
"I wish everybody good luck in their political endeavors. We now have a new President who had worked in Lagos as a Governor, his works in Lagos is there for all to see.
"He is now going to rule Nigeria and I believe that he will use God's wisdom, knowledge and understanding which will make people recognise him better than what he did in Lagos.
"All eyes are on him. I pray that his tenure will be so good that Nigerians will want him to go for another term to make eight years.
"However, the citizens of this country yearn for many things that will make us be like other developed countries.
"He should try to make Nigeria better than he met it. I appeal to all Nigerians to come round him and work for a better Nigeria," Abidoye said.
He also congratulated the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his re-election for another term to make eight years.
"Now that he is lucky to get another term, he should try to improve on his performances, He should make sure there is no separation of classes, religion or tribe," he stressed.
Prophet Abidoye advised AbdulRazaq to unify everybody and see them as member of the same family.
"He can do this, it is in his hand. He has been there before, I know that he will improve on what he has done in his first term," the spiritual father said.
He noted that people of Kwara reposed their confidence on him by thier votes, adding that the governor should reciprocate the gesture by giving them dividends of democracy.
"It your responsibility to continue the good work you have been doing and to make people get assured about the faith they have entrusted upon your shoulders.
"You will be able to work towards solving the problems, and sincerely looking after their welfare. God bless Kwara State", he added.
